Sustainable Smoke Cleansing Bundle Making
November is Native American Heritage Month. Many teachings and practices previously reserved for Indigenous communities have been appropriated by Western culture. "Smudging" is a practice that is very specific to Native American and First Nations cultures. In honor of the commemorative month, join Maaliyah Papillion, Reiki Practitioner and founder of Chrysalis Transformative Healing, for an intentional crafting workshop. In this class, Maaliyah will empower participants with the information needed to create their own sustainable smoke-cleansing bundles and inform on the ceremonial use for traditional smudging. By encouraging the creation of sustainable bundles, we can all work together to prevent the over harvesting of sacred plant allies needed in Indigenous cultures.
